Exile on main

Morphine were a band from Boston who replaced the traditional bass with a 2 string slide bass played by lead-singer Mark Sandman, replaced the guitar with for a saxophone (or two at times) played by Dana Colley, and while keeping the role of drummer Billy Conway intact, the band would make this original and unique sound. This is not the usual collection of "throwaway" tracks like released from most bands, but then Morphine is not "most bands". B-sides, live radio performances and some songs taken from soundtracks and compilation albums makes that this is another essential "new" Morphine album. The legendary bassist/singer Mark Sandman may have passed away, but the music he helped craft is still deeply appreciated by new and old fans.
